SATURDAY - August 9 The Magnolia Jr. Charity League will hold the third annual “Cram the Bus” promotion from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Wal-Mart parking lot. Benefit children of Columbia County - Magnolia, Emerson, Taylor, CCS. Drop off locations Stephens Country Store, Jennifer’s, BancorpSouth main bank, FBT main branch. Donations of school supplies are needed, and financial is accepted as well. Back to School Bash will be held at 10 a.m. at the C.W. Easter, Sr. Memorial Foundation Center in Waldo. MONDAY - August 11 The Waldo City Council will meet at 6 p.m. at the Waldo City Hall. All meetings are open to the public. TUESDAY - August 12 Columbia County Courthouse Restoration Commission will meet at 5 p.m. at the Columbia County Courthouse. Anyone interested in the restoration of our courthouse is welcome to join.
