Around the middle of January, wounded warrior Rob Jones was in Southeast Kansas as he bikes his way across the United States to raise money and awareness for Veteran’s causes. While serving in Afghanistan, he was wounded by an IED. His injuries resulted in above the knee amputation of both legs. According to his website robjonesjourney, he is now leaving Kansas and entering Eastern Colorado. Over the weekend, Jones was one of five veterans featured in the re-broadcast of a documentary on Showcase. The four men and one woman took part in the Comedy Warriors project and had the opportunity to work with stand-up comedians and actually performed on stage in an effort to use comedy as part of the healing process for themselves and to make people around them more at ease.
