Around this time two years ago I quit The Road. I was out there from December 2003 until August 2012 and i retired so I could be home and try to figure out how to live a normal life. The first couple of months were a little shaky wondering if I made the right decision and adapting to sleeping in the same place every night. Waking up in the middle of the night to take a leak and reaching from a sleeper Curtin that wasnt there in the dark and damn near tripping and falling on my ass, yep I did it. Lol Today I wouldnt go back out there for any amount of money, there is no way in Hell. I have been to every state except for Alaska and Hawaii a few times, I have been to Canada 4 or 5 times and have been close enough to Mexico to spit across the border so Im good. I still respect the guys that are out there because without all of us truck drivers people would be broke, naked and starving and thats a fact. :)
