Arraignment is when the accused is read the charges made against her and asked whether she admits those charges (pleads guilty) or denies those charges and asks for her day in court (pleads not guilty). While technically, a not guilty plea may be entered for the accused, nevertheless her presence during the proceedings is required and her absence may be considered grounds for cancelling the bail for her temporary liberty. Moreover, her absence shows gross disrespect for the court and its powers...
