Arrangements of I-Day celebrations reviewed at Kathua KATHUA, AUGUST 03- To take stock of preparedness for the Independence Day, 2013 celebrations at Kathua, a meeting of officers was convened by DDC Kathua Jitender K Singh at Conference hall of DC office Kathua. DDC reviewed in detail the provision of drinking water, Power supply, security, sanitation, sitting arrangements, installation of PAS, composition of March past, preparedness of cultural items, medical care besides other items at the venue. DDC also took feedback of the preparations from the various committees constituted for the successful and well coordinated celebrations of this national festival. It is worth mentioning here that the main function of celebrations will be held at District Sports Stadium, Kathua. The day will start with playing of Shahnai vadan by Information Department at DC office and SSP office Kathua from 5 AM to 6 AM. Minister of State (IC) for Animal & Sheep Husbandry Nazir Ahmad Khan Gurezi will host the tricolor and will took salute from the march past contingents. DC Excise, Lakhanpur, DC Sales Tax lakhanpur, Assistant Commissioner (R) Kathua, various district officers representatives of private schools/institutions were among the present on the occasion.
