Arrest: The Ulster Police Department reports the arrest of two Kingston men for Grand Larceny and Falsifying Business Records. Arrested were: THOMAS A. FINCH, 27 yoa, of Park Road Kingston, NY and MICHAEL J. COLON, 30 yoa, of Birch Street Kingston, NY The Ulster Police Department had received a complaint from a local scrap yard regarding fraudulent transactions completed in their business computer. Investigation by detectives revealed that COLON who was employed by the scrap yard completed false computer entries allowing himself and FINCH to receive U.S. currency they weren’t entitled to. FINCH was charged with the FELONY of grand larceny in the fourth degree and released to appear in Town of Ulster Court at a later date to answer the charges. COLON was charged with the FELONIES of grand larceny in the third degree and falsifying business records in the first degree. COLON was arraigned before Town of Ulster Town Justice Susan Kesick and released to reappear in the Town of Ulster Court at a later date, to answer the charges. The Ulster Police Department was assisted in the investigation by members of the Kingston Police Departments Detective Division.
