Arresting Development We reported about a local lawmaker who police nabbed in possession of marijuana. In Connecticut that is a ticketable offense. The writer of the story said the lawmaker had been arrested. The police report noted that he had been released. The lawmaker complained to us saying he was not arrested, just given a ticket for an infraction. We followed up with the police department in question and they said technically we were correct; for the duration of the interaction the man was not free to go, so he was arrested. However, in common parlance he was just ticketed. What would you have written?
