Arrived at Santiago around midday Wed, around the same time I left Sydney!. Sat next to a Brasilian guy who never stopped talking about Football, good job it was me sitting there, and not Eden or Brett. Slept from 3pm till 8pm, then went for a walk up to Plaza Baquedano where I could clearly see the statue of the Virgin Mary high up behind the city at Cerro San Cristobal. Im going to walk up there first thing in the morning. Their is a Funicular(cable car) if not. Then off to the Mercado Central market for a Cerviche lunch. Its raw seafood soaked in lime, just love it, last time was at Santa Cruz on the Gallapogos Islands. try get to see as much of the city before I head for Valparaiso on the coast on Sat .
