Arrived home just after 1 am this morning to find a huge pile of sympathy cards, notes and letters. I stayed up until well after 2 reading them all and read them again this morning when I wasnt quite as bleary eyed. Thank you to all who expressed sympathy whether written, verbal and on Facebook. My week went by in a blur and included joy and highs along with sadness and unbelievable heartache, some of which very few know about. When I came downstairs this morning, I noted both bathrooms have empty toilet paper rolls, the dishwasher is full of clean dishes, the carpet needs vacuumed, the gas grill remains uncovered (after two weeks of requesting the cover be put back) and Im sure Im only touching the surface. Funny, but none of it matters today. I came home and was reminded of how much I love my cozy home, but more than that Im reminded of how much I love the people and pets inside that home. #happytobehome
