Arrived in sunny Helsinki this morning and had a short city tour including the Senate Square and glistening white cathedral then set off through the countryside and forest to visit the historic town of Porvoo which was absolutely delightful. It never ceases to amaze how much care shop owners take over their window displays in Scandinavia - they are all just so pretty (but expensive of course)! Had a tasty ice cream of lemon-lime mascapone, wandered up the cobbled streets to the cathedral and generally enjoyed the lovely coloured buildings. Now we are sailing to Russia which is rather exciting :)
