Arrived safely in Hanoi Vietnam last night. I am now Noynoying in Bed reading my emails and FB messages. I am taking a long rest preparing for a long journey to Lao Cai province before lunch. I look forward to see the Vietnamese country side as we will travel by car close to the Chinese border. I am delighted to be one of the few foreigners to be the first to travel thru the newest highway of Vietnam towards the north! At first I was psyching myself for a long midnight train ride, but they just opened this new highway. Infrastructure development here in Vietnam is one to envy about. Again I cannot help but curse the types of leaders and politicians we have who waste all those money from PDAF and DAP without resulting to lasting impacts!
