Arrived yesterday (Thursday) at 3.30 pm after the usual Eaton holiday dramas. Melbourne to Singapore was good with GF food and 2 movies to catch up on. Singapore to Abu Dhabi was good with really good GF food, comfortable and 1 more movie. Luke slept most the way, then arrived and went to baggage carousel and no bags. Fixed with a call to the supervisor by our porter ( with Luke) and 20 mins later they arrive. Now often to the BUS ride to Dubai! 90 mins later it rocks up and the porter hits me up for 20 D because its a charter (no, its not) and he wanders off with 100 Dirha because I had no change. Not bad $25 instead of $6, and he helped thru passport as the burly passport guy was only letting UAE nationals through until he pushed in and got abused. Arrived Dubai to ashut and dark place called Dubai Marina Mall which in daylight is thriving with people but not at 2 am. Got swarmed by taxi drivers, good and told him the hotel name and suburb for him to drive around the next 20 minutes talking to someone on the phone to find out where it was until I gave him the hotel contact number and they gave him directions to it. Arrived about 2.50. Checked in and room is excellent but no bed for Luke. Downstairs to tell them and they say its on the way up. What? Why isnt it there? Anyway sleep till 1.30 pm , get up and off to Mall of Emirates. To
