Arrow head or point collecting is very new to me, most of the points that Ive found are by accident while metal detecting for civilwar artifacts. But I have found myself and my son have gotten into this field of artifacts, are very interesting. And with the help of my friend Michael Richardson it has brought a new passion of collecting to us. Earlier this spring while hunting along a old roadbed. My son and I found our selves digging out a early Militia site. We recovered several 1820s buttons, pipe bowls and coins from this hut. Well while sifting the dirt my son found a point in the dirt :) inside the hut. Well after he got done we ended up with 6 points that day. we returned acouple times after that and found two more in there. This was a collection that had gotten left behind from Virginia Militia soldiers from the 1820s and recovered agian in 2014 :) The 2 singal shots are points that we found on different return trips to the site. 8 total from a 2 foot area. Look forward to learning more from the folks here :)
