Premier League giants Chelsea and Arsenal have both been put on alert after Santos forward Victor Andrade admitted that it was his dream to one day play in the English top flight, according to reports in the Sunday Mirror. The hugely talented Brazil Under-20 international, dubbed the ‘new Neymar’ back in his homeland because of his similarities to FC Barcelona’s recent £50 million acquisition, has a contract with Santos that only runs until next summer. And with the 17-year-old already having made it clear that he will not be putting pen to paper on a new deal with the Sao Paulo-based outfit, Andrade could be available for a cut-price £2.5 million next year, the cost of the development fee owed to his employers. Andrade, whose godfather is former Real Madrid and Manchester City playmaker Robinho, has only been playing for Santos since last year, although the wonderkid has already found the back of the net for the Brazilian giants on three occasions in his 23 league outings for the club, despite his tender years. However, the attacker has now made clear his ambition to move to the Premier League after the completion of his Santos contract in 2014, saying: “Quite simply, I would love to play in Europe. My godfather Robinho has told me of the great experiences he had at Real Madrid, Manchester City and AC Milan. He told me how it made him a better player because playing in Europe means you must adapt to different styles and systems. “I think it will be a great education for me. Everybody around the world knows about the strength of the Premier League. “And many Brazilian players have done well when they have played in England. Players like David Luiz and Oscar at Chelsea and now Paulinho has gone to Tottenham to play alongside Sandro. “It is a very exciting prospect for me. My dream is to play for Brazil in the World Cup and I believe that moving to Europe will help me because it will help my all-round game. “I have no problem with Santos. They have helped me a lot. But I think the time is right for me to experience a change.
