Arsenal & Chelsea target hints at English switch Date: 9th July 2013 at 4:45 pm Written by Aidan McCartney | Comments (0) Schalke midfield ace Julian Draxler has raised speculation in the Football Transfer Tavern after admitting that he could be tempted with a possible future move to the Premier League. English clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester City are known to be interested in the highly-rated 19-year-old German international and despite the Gelsenkirchen-based side recently stating that Draxler is not for sale this summer, the player’s admission is likely to put Premier League sides on red alert. The impressive young star has confirmed that he sees his long-term future away from the Veltins Arena although he is likely to remain with the club for at least another season. He told the Daily Star: “I’ve still got to work a lot on myself and improve. “I’m staying here because I see the chance of playing frequently. “I’m going to try to do that as much as possible and then we can reconsider in the new year.” A future move to to the Premier League may be still on the agenda after the player confirmed that he had an offer from an English club during the summer while there is also firm interest from Spain. He added: “I don’t want to name any clubs but the countries are correct. “And I don’t think any country but these two would make sense for me anyhow.”
