Arsenal Transfer Latest – Higuain, Fellaini, Rooney and more… Posted on June 09, 2013 by Bob Arsenal rumour round up by SS Arsenal’s summer isn’t shaping up to be too bad so far with Gonzalo Higuain seemingly on his way to the Emirates and the club making bids and declaring interest in top players. Higuain has met with Arsene Wenger in Paris to discuss a move to the club and learn what his role will be before making a final decision on leaving Real Madrid. Arsenal also apparently made an unexpected bid for Everton’s Marouane Fellaini which is under consideration by the Everton board but Roberto Martinez will want to keep hold of Everton’s best players to push for the Champions League. Arsenal were involved in a tricky bidding war with Juventus over Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic, whose future still hasn’t been resolved meaning he could still make a move to North London if the price is right. Lyon star Clement Grenier was the subject of interest from Arsenal and he claimed he would love to move to the club. A deal looked to be wrapped up last week but there has been no news since. Julio Cesar, Champions League winning, world goalkeeper of the year 2010 looks to be on his way to Arsenal to bring some experience at the back. Such a skilled and experienced player could move to Arsenal for as little as £3 Million which is a great deal. Cesc Fabregas has been the subject of attention by Manchester United but Arsenal will want to bring him home rather than let him play for one of their biggest rivals. A deal for Fabregas looks the least likely but unlikely things can happen in football. And of course, Wayne Rooney. He wants to leave Manchester United but he wants to stay in England. So far Arsenal are the only club who have declared interest in him. It would be a major signing and a great victory for Arsenal if Rooney joined the club. If the club managed to capture all of these targets, it would prove that the club are intent on regaining their position back at the top of English and world football. This is an exciting day for Arsenal fans.
