Arsenal and England international Theo Walcott has revealed that the club told team-mate Alexis Sanchez to “relax a little bit” over the Christmas period, but the Chilean was still eager to work and was constantly in the gym, as per the club’s official website. Walcott told Arsenal Player : “It’s about getting that balance right. We told him during the Christmas period to relax a little bit, but he still cracked on with his gym work! “He’s that sort of person – nothing will make him tired. It’s healthy to see, because the Premier League is very fast, but he’s coped with it fine.” Sanchez was signed by the red half of north London in the summer from Barcelona in a deal worth roughly £35 million (BBC ), and has already paid back a huge chunk of that sum with his fine performances to date. Man City’s Pablo Zabaleta believes Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is the “complete player” Sanchez was at his usual impressive self once again during the 2-0 win over Manchester City last week, with the former Barcelona man a constant threat down the right-hand side in Manchester. Despite not scoring for the away side, he was his usual self down the right-hand side and caused all sorts of problems for the reigning Premier League champions and their left-back Gael Clichy. Sanchez has been involved in a large amount of games this season for the Gunners, missing just one league game, and Walcott admits his team-mates have taken notice and told the forward to take a break. The England international, who has been working his way back from a serious knee injury, admits that Sanchez did not take the advice on board and was eager to improve on his already strong work.
