Arsenal could sell Rosicky if Fellaini transfer is done deal - TopicsExpress

Arsenal could sell Rosicky if Fellaini transfer is done deal Rosicky could be leaving Arsenal by Stefan Greek side Olympiakos are to make a bid for the Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky, reportedly. Rosicky has been linked with a move to Hamburg in the last few weeks but so far the German club have failed to make an official approach for the Czech Republic captain. Olympiakos are thought to want some experience in their midfield and they see Rosicky as the perfect man to do so. They are willing to offer the veteran a 3 year contract which would take him to the age of 35 in his last year. Arsenal only offer him one year extensions because of his age, and Rosicky may be tempted by this contract offer as he may believe that he can prolong his playing career in Greece and stay on with the Czech Republic national team for longer. Many Arsenal fans will not want to let him go though as he has become a very important player in the last few seasons. He has become one of the team’s leaders and is possibly the most experienced leader in the whole squad. He hasn’t played regularly during his whole Arsenal career but when he does play, he shows flashes of world class ability. He is the kind of player who is inconsistent but when he is in form, he is amazing. He has come up big when needed recently and saved the club from some tough situations. Without Rosicky I believe Arsenal may have fallen a few points short of Tottenham in the League in the past couple of seasons. However, if the rumours are true about Fellaini, there will be less need for Rosicky in midfield, while Jack Wilshere should be back to his best next season. Arsene Wenger knows the importance of Rosicky but he may not be afraid to cash in on him but Olympiakos are only willing to offer around £2 Million for him. You can’t buy a player like Fabregas back for £2 Million but from Arsenal’s point of view, every little helps. If he goes he will surely be missed by all Arsenal fans. Should Arsene Wenger do everything he can to keep hold of Rosicky or is it time to let him go?
