Arsenal fan Sam Navret has decided to petition Liverpool and demand that the club allow Luis Suarez to move to the Emirates this summer, insisting that the Uruguay striker is being kept at Anfield illegally. Suarez wanted to join Arsenal this summer and went public with a transfer declaration in an effort to move across the Premier League, but a highly-contested £40m release clause in the forwards contract was dismissed by Liverpool. The 27-year-old has put that turbulent simmer behind him to produce a stunning campaign with Liverpool to date, delighting Reds fans with 23 Premier League goals in 22 games and signing a new long-term contract. Reds owner John W.Henry has since admitted that there was an exit clause in Suarezs deal and took a huge gamble by rebuffing Arsenals £40,000,001 offer last summer, a revelation which led Navret to take action. The Gunners fan launched an online petition earlier today stating that Liverpool should hand Suarez over for free because Henry lied about the clause, while also paying Arsenal £4.5m in compensation for the blunder. 161 people have signed the petition since it launched, from as field as Shrewsbury and Singapore. Sympathisers can sign up and attempt to take the matter further by adding their name to the petition online, or follow the movements progress on Twitter at the hashtag @FreeSuarez1. What do you think Gunners fans? Should Liverpool be brought to task over their antics last summer, or is it time to move on and forget the past?
