Arsenal ‘in contact’ with giants over impressive £30 million rated star Atletico Madrid have held discussions with Arsenal over their interest in Arda Turan. The Gunners have held long interest in the Turkish midfielder after seeing him perform to a consistently high standard with the La Liga side. And, reports in recent weeks of a summer move have circulated but[FDN]understands that Atletico coach Diego Simeone and board members have spoken with Arsenal officials. It is understood that the Spanish club, who currently sit second in La Liga informed the North London club that Turan would not be leaving the club in the near future. Turan has scored five in his 21 starts this season and he played an important past in their recent successes, performing in the Europa League triumphs and when Atletico beat Real Madrid to seal the Copa del Rey last season.
