Arsène Wengerhas revealed that Arsenalare ready to do “quick deals” in the transfer market this summer – but admits the Gunners are not currently close to signing anyone. The north London club have already had two bids for Luis Suárezturned down by Liverpoolthis month as the Frenchman looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new campaign. Arsenal have also been linked with moves for the likes of Wayne Rooneyand Marouane Fellaini in recent weeks. However, Wenger has moved to play down the chances of the Gunners bringing in any new players before next weekend and called on fans to be patient. “Will we have signed anyone before next Saturday in time for the Emirates Cup? It looks very unlikely,” said Wenger. “We are ready to do quick deals but all the transfers do not depend only on us. But we are prepared to wait. “We are not close to signing Suárez or anybody else.”
