Art Basel must see! For all of you who are in Basel these days, don’t forget to visit #Rijksakademie alumnus Krištof Kintera’s (03/04) exhibition I AM NOT YOU at Museum Tinguely Basel. The exhibition, devised in close collaboration with the artist, aims to present Kintera’s work in such a manner that its spontaneity, the artist’s complexity and dedication are conveyed to visitors. Kintera’s oeuvre is characteristic of a certain doubt concerning the possibilities and role of the arts. Beside sculptures and installations, he draws, creates paintings, makes portraits, takes photographs, and films.. In his works on paper magazine pages supplemented with notes and comments mingle with delicate drawings of sculptures and stenciled or stamped mottoes such as ‘Don’t think about money’, ‘You are not me’, or ‘I don’t want to have problems’.
