Art is not fun for me; it is not relaxing, soothing, therapeutic, an escape. It is a necessity to my existence like breathing is necessary to sustain life. I would need it if I was rich or poor, in perfect health or sick, alone or surrounded by a crowd, exactly like the breath we take every second of the day, whether conscious or unconscious of it. I cannot hold my breath too long or I shall die. Do not ask me to; you will kill me and all I am destined to create.
