ArtFields® 2015 Call for Submissions DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 14, 2014 Beginning September 14th, artists from twelve Southeastern states are invited to submit their artwork to the ArtFields® competition. The submission period runs from September 14th through November 14th, 2014, and is your chance to submit work to win your share of $100,000 in cash prizes. From April 24th through May 2nd, 2015, Lake City will host the third ArtFields® festival, a celebration of art awarding $100,000 in prizes to artists from across the Southeast. Launched in 2013, ArtFields® annually transforms the historic district of Lake City into a Southern art mecca for nine days, allowing visitors, residents, and artists to experience a massive arts festival in the heart of one of South Carolinas most charming small towns. Call for Submissions Submissions open: September 14, 2014 Submissions deadline: November 14, 2014 Notification of acceptance: January 1, 2015 ArtFields® competition: April 24 - May 2, 2015 $100,000 in Prizes Top Prize: $50,000 prize awarded by a combination of popular vote and jury panel Juried Panel Prize: $25,000 prize awarded to jury panels choice Peoples Choice 2-D: $12,500 awarded to the most popular two-dimensional work Peoples Choice 3-D: $12,500 awarded to the most popular three-dimensional work Artist Benefits Exposure - Artists can extend their reach into new markets with exposure to the art-buying public, nationally known jurors, and high profile guests and visitors. Annually, ArtFields® draws media coverage from throughout the Southeast. For the 2015 accepted entries, artists will be featured in an exclusive catalog publication. Networking - Network with artists and arts professionals from 12 Southeastern states, establish relationships with our local businesses acting as venues, and attend the Artists Reception (for accepted artists only). Stand out in the crowd! Accepted artists will receive an artist ID badge to wear throughout the competition. Unique Opportunities - Artists are invited to participate in competition artist talks and the annual Portrait Competition (pre-registration required). Experience the unique events and workshops offered this year-Arts and Drafts, Color Me ArtFields® 5K, The Art of Que, and many more! Eligibility Applicants must be 18 or older by November 14, 2014. Applicants must reside in one of the 12 Southeastern states. (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia) Established and emerging artists may submit one 2-D or 3-D piece. (painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, digital media, installation art, etc.) Artwork will be submitted online to be reviewed by a jury of visual arts professionals. This jury will select 400 works of art to compete in Lake City for the prize money. Artists will be notified no later than January 1, 2015 of acceptance into the ArtFields® 2015 competition. Only original artwork is eligible for submission and must have been completed within two years of the submission deadline of Friday, November 14, 2014.
