Arthur Art Bud Schwab passed November 6, 2014 at Woodland Assisted Living, Hamilton. He was the third child born to Arthur and Edna Condon Schwab on August 5, 1917. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Joy Gillespie Schwab. They were married September 16, 1944 in Millville, OH. Also passed were a brother and sisters, Marie Schwab Falkenstein, George Schwab, and Doris Schwab Baughman. He leaves in laws Jim and Ann Gillespie of Aurora, Indiana and Frank and Amanda Gillespie of Hamilton. His nieces and nephews are Betty Baughman (Chris) Bennet of Brookville, IN, Verle Falkenstein Farmer, Monroe, OH, Merle (Dotty) Falkenstein of Camden, OH, Carl (Jeanette) Schwab of Hamilton. Melissa Gillespie (Dave) Clark also of Hamilton and Ted (Lavonne) , Bonnie, and Wayne (Kimberly) Gillespie of Aurora, IN. Art was a lifetime farmer in Ross and Morgan townships where he could be classified as operating a small family farm. He was very proud of his farm on Robinson road and was in lament as to not being able to properly maintain the property in later years because of declining health issues. He was an exceptional living history person, telling of family lines of both relation and non relation. He could tell you of how farms were bought and sold with a progression of owners on each property. Funeral services will be held at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Special Thanks to employees of Woodland Assisted Living and to Hartland Assisted Living.
