Article No: 6 Incidence when we Lost Opportunity due to Over-Confidence: During our Career Guide Meeting with Engineers, we came across a Real-Life Story of Engineer who Lost his opportunity because of Ignorance and Over-Confidence. Like most of candidates do he also kept on Hunting for Job opportunities, send CV to companies, attending walk-in... so many things. But ignore to do base work like Industry Knowledge required, what market looking for, quality skills required, certification required.... as he was over- confident that he will manage everything.... just working on getting Number of interview calls... Finally, he got the interview call & got selected just because of References, Over commitments and Low Salary Terms. Now, the real game started when he actually started working on the assignment.... started facing many issues due to incomplete knowledge, nothing turn around according to his planning, shortage of skills, so many issues... and started giving excuses on regular followups by the seniors. Finally, he admits to Senior that assignment taken is out of his capacity and if they wish he will do required training or let the client Train him for the assignment. Just because of one person mistake, the person who has referred, The Senior who has selected and company process... All Suffer... Finally he lost the Job and most important Lost TRUST of people who have referring him to their clients... Now if we put our-self into his shoes and think Can I also doing the same thing...
