Artie Catherine Yeaste Ross, 98, widow of Dewey Ross, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Born December 17, 1914 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Mattie Hendren Yeaste. She retired from Signet Systems and had worked at Cowdens, was a member of the Willisburg Church of Christ, and enjoyed quilting. Survivors include two daughters JoNell Ross Stratton of Cornishville and Peggy Ross Burkhead of Deep Creek; one son Donald D. Ross of Salvisa, one brother Shirley Yeaste, one sister Annelle Ross and eighteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cornishville Christian Church Cemetery with Ricky Joe Stratton, Bryan Douglas Stratton, Terry Wayne Stratton, Brandon Stratton, and Gregory Ross serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. Friday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
