High-energy banjo melodies and deep bass played slap-style are the highlights of the album opener, and set an upbeat vibe for the whole record. One main component of Gravity Well is the background vocals, which often go to the forefront with lead vocals, making for a group dynamic that makes for a big, epic sound. In traditional Americana fashion, Rose’s Pawn Shop also employ plenty of clapping and stomping as supplemental percussion. Acoustic riffs often cast a feeling of sweetness over tracks, but bass and fiddles maintain the band’s roots.
