Artists Assemble. Now that were past all our short-lived resolutions, its that time of the year again, when we look forward to the red carpet, the ball gowns, the wisecrack acceptance speeches, the funny hosts, the nominees, the debutants, and of course reading about it all later because, you were not invited-theres always next year-the time when all the artists are felicitated. Its also the time when you look forward to the book releases, the Landmark sales and your birthday-with hope that you are gifted with Landmark coupons. Its a celebration of art and an invitation to free souls to put out there, more art. Speaking of felicitating, Leonardo di Caprio, having picked up a Golden Globe for Best Actor for his performance in The Wolf of Wall Street,will next be seen at the edge of his seat at The Oscars. The Golden Globes, this year was held on the 12th of January. A glitzy affair, obviously. Most importantly, the Best Animated Film was won by Frozen. Disney once again, manages to sweep us off our feet. The predictions are on for The Oscars,another biggie coming up this March, to answer the questions like will di Caprio win this year? The more unlikely one being,where is Nicholas Cage?The Grammy 2014 Nominees CD quite thankfully, doesnt include a track equivalent to what Carley Rae Jepson was nominated for last year. The elegance, is what sets apart these nominees. Its the usual string of artists, with Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, P!nk and Katy Perry. The mighty debutant of the year would be Lorde with the track, Royals. The countdown has begun for the Biggest Music Night of the year. The Jaipur Literary Fest 2014, has faced growth over the years,this being the 7th edition. Many young writers released their first. With over 200 authors, two Nobel Prize winners, discussions, reading sessions and a wide array of books, the event had been literally, heaven. Held from 17th of January till the 21st, heres another event that is to be anticipated for, the next year. Its hard to believe that the year has only begun, with all these awards ceremonies celebrating the hangover of 2013. But, you cant help but look forward for what is to come. There still remain a lot of books and albums, waiting to be released. Of course,theres always MasterChef Australia to look forward to, lets not forget the annual dosage of Gordon Ramsay.
