Artists Blog * INCLUDE ACTORS CV Eva was born into a rural irish family, the sixth of seven children in Salthill Galway Ireland. The daughter of a home maker and a policeman and a family of exceptional artists. Her mother was a musician, painter and former model. Her siblings competed in similar competitions. One sibling is a member of Mensa. She was a neighbour of the irish actor Aoife Mulholland. The earliest training Eva received was at speech and drama up to grade 8. The skills she adopted during her early years are guitar, horseback riding, kickboxing, Calligraphy, drumming and she trained as a lifeguard during her teenage years. She studied Irish Dancing up to grade 3 in 1992 aged 10. (Minor Trophy) She entered Community arts projects throughout her primary years and consistently won through her art work. Her first acting role was in a school production as a tree and was part of the choir. Was in the musical Cats with a jazz production group aged 11 (1993) in front of a paying audience. Her first production company was a talent display of organic products sold within the school in 1994. (Certified) She excelled at water sports, swimming with Gary O Toole in 1995 the Irish Olympic athlete and attracting local media interest representing her school in the connaught Championships. (Certified) Sponsored by Volkswagon. Her travels remained within Europe She eventually trained as a lifeguard. She assisted in comedy events as a performer. She excelled as a comedy actor with witty timing and showed talent for charades, crosswords and chess. For her junior cert in 1997 she studied the merchant of Venice and for the leaving Cert McBeth at Salerno Secondary School class of ’99. She was Queen Elizabeth in one of her speech and drama productions. Her first poetry award was in 1997 aged 15 for Pro life competiton. (Minor Trophy). She was given a brief mention in her school magazine. In 1999 she appeared as a hair model in one of the local papers. Post school her focus remained on arts. She did childcare level 2 pass with a childcare placement and briefly telesales with French at GTI. (1999) she was briefly mentioned in her leaving cert magazine She also did some interior design in Mayoralty College in 2000. In 2001 she appeared in the Local Entertainment section at a silver kings event (see photo) and two other featured photos. One of her most memorable poems was called the lady of the lake. In 2001 she did a diploma in child psychology with kilroys college (Distinction) - to social science at Athlone IT level 6 but did not complete three modules. This phase including a paid placement in St Mary’s home for the blind for 11 weeks (2002 –2004) and lived in a house formerly occupied by Michael Collins as a hideout she was employed at a master photography studio for a couple of months in 2005 along with teaching in local day care centres evidenced by tax receipts from 1999 to present date. One such encounter was with a talent agent with ICM who was a client of the photographers. Following several years in the retail world for The Galway Woolen Market (2000) and later in life for Marks and Spencer (lingerie sales assistant and store announcer) from 2005- 2007 she swopped it for working in the corporate world in construction and taxation after Completing a pitman diploma as a legal secretary in 2003. In 2007 she completed her first 5k Charity Race and survived professionally through temping with local agencies. A stint was spent learning vocal training in Bel canto in the Merriman school of Music and at Bow Lane both in Dublin in 2008. She qualified in office management (Dublin Business School) and payroll (Ipass) in 2007 and 2009. She earned money working as an extra in TV production fair city in 2010 (receipts) and Was a presenter for Muzu Tv the online music television station for an international project advertising Dublin as a tourist destination the same year. In 2010 she appeared in a minor music video for a local indie rock band Wont leave you alone and a classic short film Eva Le Napoli both of contemporary significance. Both independent productions occasionally attending in the vocal studios in The Axis Ballymun. 2011 member of DCU Drama group and travelled to the US for the first time for 11 days to California and throughout Europe alone. Three international HBO talent scouts approached her for petitioning for the o1 visa in the early stages of her degree in 2011. She wrote 5 articles for the soft news source newwoman.ie as a features magazine writer up to 2013. Her name was amended by deed from Aoife to Eva in 2013. She received her second provisional licence this year. She remains in the top 14% of her peer group for verbal comprehension which Is synonymous with poetry and lyric production.
