Artivist of the Week: Harry Belafonte! Mr. Belafonte was active during the Civil Rights Movement, the Anti-Apartheid movement, and has continued his activism through the restorative juvenile justice movement. His noteworthy vocals have been nationally recognized with Grammys, Tonys, Emmys, and Grammy Lifetime Awards. Mr. Belafonte is an extraordinary inspiration, whom found an incredible balance of creating art and remaining true to his activist spirit. His lyricism always included a meaningful message.
