Artwork created by individuals in the Liberty Through the Arts program will be on display at the 2013 Annual Creative Expressions Art Show, to be held at The Century Club on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, 29th. This is the second year that Liberty has hosted the art show, aimed at celebrating the creativity, originality and enthusiasm of artists with developmental disabilities from Liberty and other ARC’s from across New York State. On Friday, June 28 from 5-7 pm an opening night reception will feature artwork from Liberty and 10 other agencies from communities across New York State. The show will be juried by two highly respected local artists, Juliette Konieczny and Kathleen Oakes. At 6:15 p.m., 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be presented to artists selected by the judges. Other awards for the evening include an Honorable Mention, a Juror’s Award and People’s Choice Award. Friday night’s reception is open to the public and there is no charge for admission. For planning purposes, interested persons are asked to call 954-3203 if they wish to attend. The exhibit will also be open for public viewing on Saturday, June 29 from 11 pm to 4 pm.
