As 12 wondrous days off comes to a close (alarm already set for 4 a.m.,), Im most thankful for Netflix and my family for making the following sentence possible: in the last two weeks, we watched all 45 original episodes of Pee Wees Playhouse. All of em. It was fantastic, not just from a nostalgic standpoint but the girls legitimately dug it, watching it the first thing in the morning and as the final thing before bed. Its a great kids show, better than so much junk on today. We laughed our asses off. However, one drawback. I always enjoyed the theme song (sung by Cyndi Lauper, by the way). Not anymore. Listening to it multiple times a day (its 2 1/2 minutes!) infiltrated my brain in ways no previous earworm ever has. The other night, I woke up in a cold sweat at 4:14 a.m. with it so stuck in my head, I couldnt go back to sleep for ages. I almost cracked. Here it is, in all its glory. I dont recommend listening to it twice a day for weeks at a time. But I do recommend revisiting the Playhouse! youtu.be/BKcYGOIJhqo
