As 2014 comes to an end, we hope youll think of the next few weeks as a time when you and your company can think about taking a day or more to join us in the Capital Districts Dress Down for Diabetes! We are asking companies in the Capital District to participate in a “Dress Down” day. Your company would choose a day of the month (or week, like Fridays for month of your choosing) to generate awareness among your employees and customers through these special days. Setting a goal for donations (average is $5 per participant, per day) is a great way to get a buzz surrounding the day and also contributes to our ability to fulfill our mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. To assist in your efforts, we would like to arrange for us to join you that day, perhaps during a lunch hour, in a 30 minute Diabetes 101 session to further the education and introduce risk assessment tests for employees to take as well as share with their families.
