As Calders deconstructionism reaches maturity in Deconstruction XXII and Deconstruction XXIII both Oct 2014 (laid shredded paper and various found objects) we see how brilliantly he brings together past works such as Spilled Nails and Impaled Earth taking from those works the integral connection of environment and creative materials. Here as in Spilled Nails Calder utilizes light and kinetic solar movement to illuminate various patterns of shredding and integral placement of found objects. for once color plays an important part as we see in the squeaky toy and deconstructed milk bottle which breaks up the seriousness of his intellectual statement by reminding the viewer that is only garbage.
