As Delaware enters 2015, can we continue to push our public education system in the direction of deeper collaboration? I remain hopeful. All Delaware schoolchildren deserve better than the disheartening rift between the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) and many educators/stakeholders. DDOE decisions often seem disconnected from what is happening in classrooms. The Priority Schools plan is perhaps the starkest example. This article provides important information about Priority Schools. I am hopeful that disagreements can be sorted out in early 2015, and that we can better serve our schoolchildren.
