As Eid dawns and our Arab Leaders make merry Ingesting a Camel or two and a bottle of sherry Passing a Ramadhan full of comfort, doing what they please Forgetting the blessings of their Lord with incredible ease Where is their heart that should shudder and weep Has Palestinian blood just turned incredibly damn cheap? Have they decided to believe the children of the beach Was a made up myth and a tale far out of reach? What is their thinking behind sitting on their thrones Whilst our children are being targeted by military drones? Where is their conscience, their courage and power? As the bombing continues with an F-16 shower? My mind swarms with both disgust and sorrow What answer will they give the day after tomorrow? Let us rise up, and show them the way That the people will shout and will not sway Gaza belongs to the whole of humanity Only those will reject who are riddled with insanity Wiping out families against a dent in a house An apt comparison of a Cobra and a mouse Sign those petitions and post those blogs Set in motion those wheels and cogs We shall be heard and we will not forget The people of Gaza that the media will soon let Use Social media and march together During organised protests, no matter the weather Eidun Saeed to all and be blessed this day.
