As Elihu continues his speech in Job 34-36 he provides some - TopicsExpress

As Elihu continues his speech in Job 34-36 he provides some helpful insight. In cpt 34 he affirms the righteousness and justice of God affirming that God will never do wickedly nor will he pervert justice (34:10,12). It is important to interpret what we do not understand from what we know. We know that God is righteous and that He acts in love as he proved at the cross. That, rather that I have not done anything to deserve this, should be the beginning point in our search for understanding when bad things happen to us. In his attempt to defend himself, Job became guilty of adding rebellion to his sin and multiplying words against God (34:37). Job is accused by Elihu of multiplying words without knowledge (35:16). I write these words not condemning Job for I have responded as he has while my trials were nothing compared to his.
