As GV soccer opened their 2013 season at home yesterday, walking off with a 4-0 victory against league opponents Avoca. In a tense first half that saw both sides come close to scoring, Caitlin found the back of the net with what would prove to be the match winner. The Eagles came out after break with a renewed purpose and slowly began to boss proceedings. A-A would go on to score 3 more times as they showed consistent improvement through the match. Caitlin scored twice to complete her hat trick and Morgan added the final at the dying breath. Sarah, Sydney and Caitlin all added assists. The team plays again against crosstown rival Arkport on Friday at Arkport. Come and see your Eagles soar!
