As Governor of PCC, from time to time, I will stay back late at work so I can see the reactions & looks on the faces of guests after they watch our spectacular evening show, HA: Breath of Life. One night, I stood at the Customer Service booth as people were filing out of the theater & I listened to them rave about the show and how much they enjoyed it. One young mother brought her two kids (a boy that looked to be 6 & his younger sister who was probably 3 or 4) to a bench in the courtyard where I was standing & sat them down, telling them not to move while she went to the restroom nearby. I told her not to worry since I would be there to watch them. She thanked me and left. The little boy looked and me and asked, Whats your name? I told him my name. He paused, staring at me a while, then asked, Why are you mad? I kinda laughed and said Im not mad. He said, You look mad. hahaha! I told him that people tell me that all the time, but actually, Im really happy. I tried to smile while I said this, attempting to convince him that I really was happy. He said again, You look REALLY mad. hahaha! So finally, I said what I usually tell people who say I need to smile. Jokingly, I said, This is the face God gave me. But Im not mad. Im happy. Without skipping a beat, he asked, Thats how God made you? I nodded and he asked, Why? Was He mad at you?! bwahahaha!! His Mom came out of the restroom JUST IN TIME to save him from being thrown into the lagoon. :) She thanked me for watching the kids. I smiled, bent down & gave them two lollipops I had in my pocket, & waved goodbye as they walked off. Kids! Gotta love em!
