As I am sure many people are aware, my lovely Spanish Water Pup Prince was adopted by Maggie Kingsbury-Smith. and arrived in Scotland 3weeks ago to start his new life. But things did but go to plan and although DEFRA visited him after 48 hours and said all was ok they then decided nearly 2 weeks later to take him and put him into quarantine saying he should have had a second rabies vaccine before leaving Spain As you can imagine Maggie and I are devastated at this decision but to top it all it is going to cost us £1500 !!! We are obviously fighting this with both DEFRA and the local authorities but in the meantime Maggie had to pay out £600 when they took him and we will have to pay £900 before he is allowed home. I run a very small rescue and apart from my own dogs have 11 pups here waiting to he adopted, I just dont have £1500 to pay out for Prince, Maggie has borrowed the £600 but this and the rest needs to he found ASAP or Prince wont be allowed to go back to his loving adopters.
