As I attempted to gain my composure today, I put my boots on and headed out to meet Sharon Hancock with Lilly Pond Foal Rescue in New Holland, PA to bring to her the pregnant mare that was pulled from the kill lot on Thurs who was here for layover until she could haul her to the rescue. As I was driving I called Kris Young to speak to her for a moment and then lost my composure again and broke down, in tears I told her about what just happened with Grace. In the meantime I was being contacted by a group working with Equine Rescue Network, there was a emaciated Standardbred there at auction bought for $35, by a broker and they were desperate to buy him back from him and find him a home. He needed quarantine and a safe place to land, in tears mourning the loss of Grace, hauling a pregnant mare to meet with her new caretakers, and trying to help home an emaciated horse in need all at the same time, I continued to move forward...........
