As I closed my eyes last night, I hoped angels would be near, To hear all of my prayers, From my heart, my head, my fears, I said four words so simple, And now Im going to share, In the hope that other people, Can relieve themselves from tears, I said Please help me God, And an angel was sent to me, He knelt down beside my bed, And held my hand with glee, How can I help you child, As god told me you called, What brings me near to you, That us angels could resolve. I said Im very tired of living with pain, I never been a person who helped people to gain, I always did the things from the bottom of my heart, But tonight how can I make my pain depart, The angel placed his hand, Gently on my cheek, Pulled me in so close, With his love I felt release, From all the pain and woes, That had happened through my life, Ready for the future, With bright and bushy eyes, As he lowered down his hand, He said these words to me. You have been such a good man, And everyone can see, You have spent many hard years, Trying to set you free, The thing you never realised, Was the secrets you have searched, Are firmly In your heart, With the love that you deserve, God is very happy with the things that you have done, You will have your blessings, Just watch and miracles will come, The love you have inside you, The world will plainly see, When you start to write the words, Of your story to set them free. I said with love and blessings, I thank you all so much, I thank God and the angels, For sharing all your love, I thank you for giving, Everything to set me free, From the bottom of my heart, At last my lord I see.
