As I contemplate the destruction of Quaid’s Residency in Ziarat. It appears to me that my beloved leader had nothing to do with Pakistan. He did not deserve us and we did not deserve him. This is how Noreen Khalid, Professor of economics at University of Karachi, described it, “The trees which had lent beauty to the building had been felled on the provincial government orders. The crockery inside the building had gathered dust and some furniture was in a shambles. Yet it was a national heritage, had a place in the peoples heart.” There we have it in black and white a first person account. Who heads the provincial government that ordered the felling of the trees? It is none other than our lord and master and sole proprietor of wisdom Shahbaz Sharif. I have a suggestion to make. Since none of the political parties except PTI acknowledges the Quaid. Let us rename Pakistan as Bhutto land and Zia land. It is not Pakistan. It is the land of Bhutto and the land of Zia. How does the new name ZAB—Zia sound to you?
