As I continue to heal from my most recent surgery, I am so glad I opted to use my own tissue for my reconstruction. My plastic surgeon told me that 85% of his breast cancer patients choose implants and my research showed that this is the trend nationally. Using my tissue meant longer recovery time and I had infections and 3 subsequent surgeries because of complications. Friday I had the first of two remaining surgeries, still utilizing my own tissue. I have to wear a full body suit 24/7 for 6 weeks...even shower in it. But guess what? The girls look almost normal and my entire torso is completely FLAT... No more love handles or pot belly...YES! So yall were right Rhonda Jones, Theresa Galloway-Bennett, Karen D. McJimpson, Marcia Kent-Walker, Carita Farmer, yall will be hatin on a sista this summer! Im buying tank tops in every color available, and will rock these abs with pride! So glad I made a decision that was right for ME!
