As I drive home from watching my son take his first step to become a minister I am in awe of the man is has become, full of humility and grace. While there, I get to spend time also with my "twin", my little sister. Holly is an amazingly loving woman, just like her Mother, Brownie. I also think of my oldest daughter whom has taken her steps to fulfill her life long dreams. She has become an amazing person full of charm and character. This leads me to think of my sweetest pea, Sage. A remarkable young lady, smart, caring, a natural compassion that cannot be taught. And that leaves me to think of little Jesse, he is already living up to his name sake, brings smiles to everywhere he goes. I think of all the people that have touched their lives, my beautiful wife, she is the keystone, the glue, my heart. I could not imagine a day without her. This brings me to my point, I wonder how did I get so lucky, why am I so fortunate, I have made so many mistakes, why am I special? Then I remember, this is not me, this is not man, I am not worthy. The fact is none of us are, This is grace, this is providence, this is the love of God. This is how he keeps his promise. To love us even though we are not worthy.
