As I enter a new milestone in my life, my children grown and really no longer in need of the day to day guidance they once used to steer through life. My attention now is focused on my mother, strong & most stubborn which the years without my father have shaped the “NEW” her. Independent and vocal which are characteristics that the younger version would have never surfaced. I watch as time is slowly stealing the mobility and agility out of this still very energetic woman. The past year has been a test of her will to be active and not surrender to the pain that has certainly brought down many of the same age. Daily are the struggles to get out of bed, move through the motions of life but her versions are most positive and uplifting. Photography has been her salvation along with the community of friends brought along with this passion. This has really given her the goals to get through the stiffness of each day, along with the promise of the newest “great grand” child due any day. I respect her drive and courage to face the day and take that untraveled path without fear of the hazards. My mother, Norma Parsons, I strive every day to be more like her and I treasure every day I have with her. Hoping this newest path proves to fix all things wrong! Fingers crossed!
