As I led the hymn-sing here in the memory care unit an elderly - TopicsExpress

As I led the hymn-sing here in the memory care unit an elderly black lady began to cry. Silent tears continued to fall as we transitioned to the Bible study. Our topic of study was the same as my blog post today about not being critical and condescending but being an encouragement and a blessing. As soon as we ended with prayer, another elderly woman at the other end of the tables we had joined together, slowly got up, hobbled all the way around and put her arm around the crying lady and tried to console her. It was a beautiful picture of the sharing of Gods love among His children. She gave no regard to the physical challenge it would be, no pause to the embarassment it might cause, and was blind to any racial or ethnic differences that might be apparent... She simply saw a sister in need of Gods love and gladly offered it through her amazing gesture of compassion. Lets all be more aware...and more like that!! :)
