As I look around our neighborhoods, towns and cities, our country and the world, I am saddened by the increase of horrific events from natural calamities, accidental tragedies, and to the violence that has, of late, become far to common in cities in our country as well as around the world. The anger, pain, and violence associated with these events can become cancerous to our nation and world infecting our homes and our families. We have opportunity daily to counter the negative effects of these events and situations. We can ...take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13) by doing acts of kindness for those around us. Through social media, we have an opportunity to “sweep the earth with messages filled with righteousness and truth—messages that are authentic, edifying, and praiseworthy” - an opportunity to flood the earth with goodness. I have chosen to do that this year through joyful noise - music! I love music and the power it has to express the depths of my feelings, to soothe my mind, emotions and spirit. It truly speaks to my soul and I hope that it may bring peace, happiness, joy and a desire to show forth the kindness that you radiate.
