As I look back at all the posts of SPINs darling Pinot, I realize - TopicsExpress

As I look back at all the posts of SPINs darling Pinot, I realize that we have never really talked about how she arrived in our care. PINOT IS A SURVIVOR! At the age of 5, she became seriously ill and her owners felt they had no option but to euthanize. Thanks to the intervention of a very caring veterinarian, she was saved, her Addisons was treated, and Pinot became the bubbly little cutey-pie that she is now. She stayed at the clinic for 4 months, while they pondered how to get her either adopted or into foster care. Our two dogs have both been patients at that clinic for various non-Addisons reasons. Knowing that we have Simba who lives with Addisons, they reached out to us for assistance, we contacted SPIN, and the rest is recent history. Pinot has now lived her next 4 months in our care. Along with our boy River, we instantly fell in love with this little charmer, and would give anything if we could adopt her permanently. However, we are about to make a big move to Vancouver Island - and our preliminary research has discovered that the motels along the way who will accept dogs, have a TWO DOG LIMIT. So, that leaves little Pinot behind, still waiting for a caring forever family to find her. Her Addisons medication costs approximately $13 a month, and her Stilbestrol (female hormones required by some spayed females) cost $15 a month. She also needs occasional bloodwork. As I add this up, I realize that these costs are almost negligible compared to what we have had to pay for our Non-Addisons boy with his various issues. No pup comes with a guarantee, River was meant to be our healthy dog. Pinot is an adorable, fun-loving, absolutely darling little girl who will provide many years of fun and love to the right family. ARE YOU THAT FAMILY? Pinot is ready for that next phase in her life - the FOREVER Phase, not just another 4 month segment. She would love to meet any prospective families to show off her cuteness and that darling bum wiggle. Contact: standardpoodlesinneed@gmail for further information.
